Research notes
Pat: May, 12 (1903), Jan 22 (1907), Dec 2 (1913); The wheels of this toy, as well as those of EPL 768, bore two trademarks (the midget and the press w/ EPL); A famous Japanese replica replaced the "NA-OB" text on the cart with the word "Toyodaya" and featured the Kuramochi "C.K." trademark. The name is a phonetic play on the common German exclamation "Na, ob!", meaning "Oh, really?!", "You bet!", or "No doubt about it!". It was an expression used when someone was skeptical but ultimately proven wrong.
Notes
