Research notes

pat USA May, 12 (1903); for the steering device: DRP 136312, Feb 22, 1902); US Pat 769802, Sept 13 (1904); in Prussia, June 15, 1901, police regulation determined that every motor vehicle must be equipped with a horn - this was the first toy auto with a horn; underneath the chassis is a small set of goat-skin bellow; the name "Tut Tut" is the German onomatopoeia for a car horn honking (equivalent to "Toot Toot" in English)
